2022 Greenbelt Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration |
November 23, 2022, the night before Thanksgiving, Greenbelt's Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve Celebration was held in-person for the first time since 2019. 75 joyful souls filled Greenbelt Community Church, with another 15 on zoom. GILA was the organizer. Speakers came from Bahá'í, Buddhist, Catholic, Church of Christ, Islamic, Jewish and Methodist communities. The Greenbelt Combined Choir led the music. The offering went for eviction relief. This video recalls the celebration's highlights.

Baccalaureate Celebration at Eleanor Roosevelt H.S.

For 35 years the Baccalaureate Celebration modeled interfaith cooperation to the graduating seniors of Eleanor Roosevelt High School. The Baccalaureate ended in 2016 by decision of the county school administration. Greenbelt Baha'is participated in all 35 Celebrations and for the final 15 years coordinated the GILA participation.
